The special Roush sledgehammer 427R
produces a mind blowing 550 horsepower and 535 ft lbs of torque!
With the same displacement as the legendary cars of the 60’s the
Roush 427R is based on the high-end Dart “Iron Eagle” 4-bolt main block. It
comes with the alternator, pulleys, brackets, spacers. and fan belt/
FFR owner Dave Smith runs the similar Roush
402R engine in his personal Type 65 Coupe, however the 427RF5 makes another
30 horsepower and more torque! While this is certainly
more engine than ANY street car ever needs… it really is perfect for the guy
who likes to cut his butter with a chainsaw.
